Front squat:

  • 45# x 3
  • 65# x 3
  • 75# x 3
  • 85# x 2
  • 95# x 1
  • 105# x 1
  • 110# x 1
  • 115# x 1
  • 125# x 1
  • 135# x 1
  • 145# x 1
  • 155# x 1

I never really went for a max on front squats. I did 65# x 5 a while back. When I got to 135# I was ready to stop. Loren told me I could easily get 155 and that was enough for me to at least attempt it. 155 was still fairly easy.

I took this week off (err, tried) to recover and transition into my “new” program. I ended up hurting my back and while trying to “fix” it, I ended up causing some extreme soreness in my hips with some mobility. I wouldn’t be Coley if I wasn’t always hurting myself. ;)

Anyways… I called it quits on the front squats before I ended up getting hurt.

Snatch

  • 45# x a lot (no really)

  • 75# x 2

First time. I guess that’s ok for a first time? I don’t know. 

Also worked on some OH squats. By that, I mean I tried many times, actually got 2 and failed once (yes, all with the bar). And yeah, I got pretty frustrated. Pretty sure there is some little trick I am missing and will figure it out one of these days. For now, it pisses me off. I may or may not have cried… I do that enough as it is, can lifting some fucking weights be the break from it all? Fuck.
